The Full-Time Manager of Business Development & Marketing is responsible for maintaining sales and marketing functions for assigned markets to build revenue, ensure profitability, and maintain the quality provider image of the Agency.
Responsibilities
- Establish new accounts and maintain existing accounts within assigned territory.
- Plan, establish, and maintain open lines of communication with physician practices, hospitals, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, case managers, and other referral sources.
- Meet weekly with the Agency’s leadership team to discuss business development strategies, plans, goals, execution, pipeline, and results.
- Utilize company’s target-focused sales programs to meet the needs of the Agency and conduct the orientation program for new sales employees.
- Monitor competition by gathering current marketplace data and conduct an annual market territory analysis of top competitors to help plan strategic initiatives.
- Develop and implement social media campaigns (Facebook, Instagram, and other platforms) to position the Agency as the home‑care provider of choice.
- Use Search Engine Optimization to amplify and augment the Agency’s online presence.
- Identify target markets and create marketing materials—brochures, flyers, website content—to communicate the benefits of our home‑care services.
- Track and analyze marketing metrics (website traffic, social media engagement, conversion rates) to assess campaign effectiveness and adjust strategies.
- Develop long‑lasting relationships with new referral sources and implement strategies to promote services to potential clients.
- Collaborate with management to develop pricing strategies and promotional offers to attract and retain clients.
- Participate in community events such as health fairs and senior expos to promote services and build relationships.
- Provide training and support to home‑care staff so they can effectively communicate benefits to clients and referral sources.
- Track referral source development, obtain and close leads, and generate weekly results reports for leadership review.
- Contact and qualify leads by making initial phone or email contact and preparing them for the Account Executive.
- Manage current accounts – keep in close contact, create brand awareness, coordinate meetings, and request referrals.
- Answer calls and emails from clients, identify issues, and suggest future or new products or services.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree (Marketing, Sales, Business Administration, Liberal Arts, or similar field).
- Licensed Registered Nurse with experience in Business Development or Marketing preferred.
- Minimum two (2) years of relevant health‑care industry experience in sales, marketing, or business development, preferably in a home‑health care company.
- Familiarity with health‑care reimbursement and ideally possessing an existing book of business.
- Strong understanding of healthcare marketing strategies and tactics.
- Valid driver’s license with clean driving history (required).
- Reliable transportation (required).
- BS degree in Marketing or Business Administration is required.
- Hands‑on experience with multiple sales techniques (including cold calls).
- Experience with CRM software.
- Familiarity with MS Excel (analyzing spreadsheets and charts).
- Understanding of sales performance metrics.

- Established healthcare contacts in the Tampa/Manatee/Polk areas or a well‑thought‑out plan to create new contacts.
- Knowledge of Medicaid eligibility for home‑care services.
- Strong understanding of healthcare marketing strategies and tactics.
