Our client is an established leader in bath hardware, designing and distributing products for residential, hospitality, multifamily, and senior living properties throughout North America.
They are seeking a Business Development Manager to expand their relationships with architects, interior designers, developers, distributors, and project customers. What You’ll Do
- Build relationships with architects, interior designers, developers, and other project decision-makers
- Deliver engaging product presentations and become a trusted resource within the architecture and design community
- Develop and strengthen partnerships with national and regional wholesale distributors
- Manage and expand existing product specifications with hotel chains and project customers
- Pursue new specification opportunities within hospitality, multifamily, senior living, student housing, and related markets
- Assist with project quoting and distributor follow-up
- Partner with independent manufacturers’ representatives to develop opportunities and replicate successful sales strategies
- Develop expert-level product knowledge and a strong understanding of the competitive landscape
- Support senior sales leadership with key accounts, strategic initiatives, presentations, and special projects
- Maintain accurate CRM records and consistent follow-up
- Identify practical ways to improve sales processes, reporting, technology, and productivity
What We’re Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience
- Two to five years of related experience
- Background in sales, business development, account management, architectural sales, or project sales
- Strong communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills
- Ability to prospect and develop new relationships from the ground up
- Self-motivated approach with sound business judgment, accountability, and follow-through
- Ability to learn products quickly and explain technical information clearly
- Comfort using CRM platforms and an interest in AI, automation, and other productivity tools
- Experience working with architects, designers, building products, hospitality, wholesale distribution, or construction markets is a plus
- Ability to commute to San Leandro or relocate before starting
