Job summary

PGT Trucking, Inc. is seeking a Business Development Manager to drive new business in Hopewell, PA; Reading, PA; Trenton, NJ or Baltimore, MD. You will own the full sales cycle from prospecting to close and travel weekly to client sites.

The role requires transportation experience and a hunter mindset; a HS diploma is required and a Bachelor's is preferred. We offer competitive salary, incentive plan, medical/dental/vision and a company matched 401K.

• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.

Responsibilities

• Aggressively prospect for new business accounts and manage the full cycle sales process.
• Meet with new customers and evaluate transportation needs; propose solutions and negotiate rates.
• Exceed sales goals within the territory and maintain satisfaction with the current book of business.
• Travel weekly to customer sites to maintain account management.
• Present to owner/exec teams to win new business.
• Network on social media to generate referrals and promote PGT Trucking.

Responsibilities:

• Aggressively prospect for new business accounts and manage the full cycle sales process.
• Meet with new customers and evaluate current transportation needs. Identify sales solutions and negotiate new competitive rates with clients.
• Exceed sales goals within assigned territory and maintain customer satisfaction with current book of business.
• Travel to new and existing customer base weekly to maintain account management.
• Conduct sales presentations to customer owners and senior executive teams.
• Network on social media to obtain customer referrals and to promote PGT Trucking.

Requirements:

• HS Diploma or GED required. Bachelor's degree is preferred.
• Must have transportation experience to be considered.
• Must be a hunter who strives to close new business.
• Must be able to work with little to no supervision.
• Must have a valid driver's license.
• Must be willing to travel.
