Job Description - Business Development Manager (0033159)

Location: US-OR-Portland (Remote)

Description

The Business Development Manager is responsible for selling Manpower services to clients, focusing on new business development by securing new client logos. The role involves presenting the value proposition and educating potential clients on talent strategies through the Manpower story, with an emphasis on temporary staffing and permanent placement in clerical, light industrial, or manufacturing verticals.

Accountabilities
  1. Results & Strategy: Secure new business with SMB and mid-market clients within an assigned territory. Develop and execute a territory plan to capitalize on market and industry opportunities. Adopt Manpower methodologies, disciplines, and tools to pursue profitable business opportunities.
  2. Client & Candidate: Manage the entire sales cycle from initial engagement to transition to the Branch Manager or delivery team. Collaborate across markets to tailor solutions for clients and ensure successful implementation.
  3. Thought Leadership: Be recognized as a market and industry leader within relevant communities and as an expert in the World of Work. Offer customized workforce solutions by leveraging the full suite of ManpowerGroup solutions through cross-team collaboration.

Additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed.

Qualifications
Required
  • At least 2 years of experience in sales, solution selling, or a related service industry.
  • Proven track record of performance in competitive or entrepreneurial environments, with successful achievement of ambitious goals.
  • High school diploma or GED.
Nice to Have
  • Industry knowledge, particularly in staffing, light industrial, or clerical sectors.
  • Bachelor’s degree.
