Job summary

BBSI Talent Acquisition Team is expanding its Eastern Washington presence and seeks an accomplished Business Development Manager to own the full sales cycle—from prospecting to closing—while nurturing first-year client success.

You’ll drive new business, build strategic relationships, and maintain a robust sales pipeline, with ongoing collaboration with recruiting and operations teams to ensure long-term growth and service excellence.

Qualifications

  • Five or more years of successful B2B sales experience in staffing, recruiting, workforce solutions, or a related service industry
  • Demonstrated record of meeting or exceeding sales quotas and revenue goals
  • Strong prospecting, discovery, presentation, negotiation, and closing skills
  • Ability to build credibility with HR, operations, and executive stakeholders
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • High level of professionalism, urgency, ownership, and follow-through
  • Ability to work independently and thrive in a goal-oriented, metrics-driven environment
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CRM/ATS platforms

Responsibilities

  • Drive new business and revenue growth - 80%
  • Build new relationships through phone, email, LinkedIn, networking, referrals, and community involvement
  • Target prospective clients across assigned industries and territories
  • Lead discovery meetings to understand each organization’s workforce needs and business goals
  • Present compelling staffing and talent acquisition solutions
  • Develop and maintain a healthy, well-qualified sales pipeline
  • Prepare proposals, negotiate pricing, and close new business
  • Maintain accurate CRM records, forecasts, and follow-up activities
  • Consistently achieve defined revenue, margin, activity, and account-acquisition goals
  • Support new client success - 12%
  • Serve as a strategic partner to newly acquired clients
  • Conduct 30- and 90-day follow-ups and regular service check-ins
  • Partner with internal teams to address concerns quickly and effectively
  • Identify opportunities to expand relationships through additional services
  • Help achieve at least 90% first-year retention among newly acquired accounts
  • Collaborate weekly with recruiting and operations teams
  • Contribute to territory and revenue strategy discussions
  • Stay informed about labor-market conditions, industry trends, and competitors
  • Represent BBSI at a minimum of one networking event each month
  • Maintain reporting and operational excellence - 3%
  • Record sales activity accurately and consistently in the CRM/ATS
  • Submit weekly forecasts and pipeline updates
  • Participate in sales meetings and performance reporting
  • What Success Looks Like:
  • We believe in clear expectations and measurable success. Typical activity benchmarks include:
  • 60–80 outbound calls per week
  • 25–35 new prospect touches per day across multiple channels
  • 8–12 new meetings scheduled per week
  • 5–8 discovery meetings completed per week
  • 3–6 qualified opportunities added to the pipeline each week
  • Pipeline coverage equal to at least three times the monthly revenue target
  • CRM activity documented within 24 hours
  • Consistent progress toward monthly revenue, quarterly account-acquisition, gross-margin, and conversion goals

BBSI Talent Acquisition Team is growing, and we’re looking for an accomplished Business Development Manager to expand our presence in Eastern Washington!


This is a high-impact opportunity for a motivated sales professional who enjoys opening doors, solving workforce challenges, and turning new relationships into lasting partnerships. You’ll own the full sales cycle, from identifying prospects and leading discovery conversations to presenting tailored solutions, negotiating terms, and closing business.


You’ll also remain closely involved during each new client’s first year, helping ensure a successful launch, strong service experience, and long-term growth.


What You’ll Do:

Drive new business and revenue growth - 80%
