The Business Development Manager (BDM) is responsible for driving new revenue growth through a combination of direct selling, strategic account development, and the establishment of scalable business development processes. This role serves as the company’s primary internal owner of pipeline development—converting inbound opportunities, expanding relationships with existing customers, and proactively pursuing new business within commercial and industrial markets.
Unlike a traditional outside sales role, this position plays a central role in building structure, improving sales execution, and aligning closely with operations, safety, finance, and marketing to ensure profitable, sustainable growth. The ideal candidate is both a strong individual contributor and a builder of repeatable systems that support long‑term expansion.
