The primary goal of this position is to increase customer relationships, market share and brand awareness. These tasks are designed to expand business opportunities, top line revenue and profit in assigned market segment or geography. The Business Development Manager collaborates and supports Group Leaders and Project Managers to maximize revenue streams and identify new business opportunities focused on future growth and geographic or service expansion.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate with local Group Leaders and the Chief Growth Officer to develop new business accounts, build relationships with potential and existing clients to generate referrals, networking resources and opportunities for assigned market or geography.
- Increase market visibility, market share and top line revenue through planned business development efforts within assigned geography and in line with local business development plan and The Kleingers Group vision and values.
- Serve as primary attendee for networking events.
- Serve as a primary lead generator with opportunity hand-off at proposal stage to the project team for all services within assigned market or geography.
- Utilize Group Leaders’ current business plan as a guide. Work cooperatively with Group Leaders to support their business development efforts including warm introductions between Group Leaders and prospective clients or strategic partners.
- Coordinate directly with Kleingers Marketing Department and Kleingers Group Leaders and Project Managers to facilitate Kleingers response to Requests for Qualifications and proposals.
- Assist in growing service offerings across Kleingers geography. Examples include site civil engineering, sports projects, landscape architecture or survey services in assigned geography.
- Coordinate efforts to build and execute effective Business Development and Marketing strategies as needed.
- Identify and communicate market trends to Chief Growth Officer, Group Leaders and Marketing staff.
- Continuously improve person business development capabilities focused on executing assigned goals with strong emphasis on time management and organizational skills.
- Keep the CRM system current with business development activities to aid in contact tracking and project opportunity efforts.
- Demonstrates ability to work in a collaborative team environment.
Qualifications:
- Desired candidates will have a minimum of 10 years of AEC experience.
- Proven experience building long-term relationships and achieving revenue growth through business development activities.
