Job Details

The Business Development Manager is responsible for driving revenue growth by identifying high-value prospects, executing rapid market penetration strategies, and closing deals with speed and precision in competitive healthcare markets. This individual will influence key decision makers, including representatives and leadership of health plans, health systems, healthcare organizations and potential clients and partners for AnewHealth programs and technology solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Pursue and secure new business opportunities through both cold and warm outreach, strategic targeting, and rapid follow-up to accelerate sales cycles.
  • Consistently exceed monthly and quarterly sales quotas through disciplined pipeline management and closing strategies.
  • Identify and convert high-potential leads through outbound prospecting, networking, and competitive intelligence.
  • Execute high-volume outreach campaigns (calls, emails, LinkedIn) to generate qualified leads.
  • Analyze competitor offerings and market trends to ensure AnewHealth is positioned as the superior solution.
  • Track and report on KPIs including lead conversion rates, sales velocity, and revenue growth.
  • Maintain a robust pipeline within Salesforce with clear stage definitions and forecast accuracy.
  • In partnership with the vertical lead, collaborate with marketing to develop high-impact campaigns and sales enablement tools.
  • Attend/participate in relevant conferences and staff exhibits to build awareness, relationships and expand business.
  • Provide oversight and guidance for the program management/implementation team to support the on-boarding of new clients and solutions.

Education

  • Required: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Sales, or other related field.
  • Preferred: Master’s degree

Experience

  • Required: 5 years’ experience in B2B sales, with a proven track record of consultative selling.
  • Preferred: Prior experience within the healthcare industry, including pharmaceutical or healthcare sales experience.

  • Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced, quota-driven environment with a hunter mentality.
  • Demonstrated success in closing complex deals with C-level stakeholders under tight timelines.
  • Extensive knowledge of the US health care market; US healthcare delivery, financial, and reimbursement mechanisms; ACA; formulary/PDL development, and compliance laws and regulations.
  • Proficient knowledge of CMS guidelines and value-based care providers.
  • Demonstrated abilities to develop a network of relationships with key individuals.
  • Experience in territory management and planning, at the regional and account levels.
  • Ability for innovative and strategic thinking.
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize projects.
  • Strong written, verbal, presentation and organizational skills.
  • Strong organizational and planning skills.
  • Strong and effective interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.
  • Self-motivated and highly professional with ability to lead and take ownership and responsibility.
  • Experience with supporting multi-tier infrastructures.

Physical & Mental Demands

This position is administrative in nature and will present physical demands requisite to a position requiring: hearing, seeing, sitting, standing, talking, and walking. The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Must be able to commute to multiple site locations within assigned territory. May be necessary to work extended hours as needed.

Schedule

This is a full-time position with an expectation to work an average of 40 hours per week and be available outside of normal business hours to meet customer expectations on an ad-hoc basis. Schedules are set to accommodate the requirements of the position and the needs of the organization and may be adjusted as needed. This may be considered a hybrid position based on manager discretion.

Travel

Up to 50% for events, trade shows, client visits, or conferences; Willingness to travel extensively and work outside standard hours to close deals and attend high-impact events.
