Job Description

To support our continued growth and commitment to customer excellence, we are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Business Development Manager to join our team. This role is ideal for a sales professional with a passion for technical solutions and a strong background in industrial or technical sales—particularly in force measurement and sensor technologies.

Responsibilities
  1. Develop and implement effective sales strategies to drive business growth.
  2. Manage and expand key customer accounts across assigned territories.
  3. Build and maintain strong, face-to-face customer relationships through regular visits.
  4. Follow up on weekly web leads and proactively solicit new business opportunities.
  5. Provide technical product support and identify new project opportunities within existing accounts.
  6. Collaborate with engineering teams to develop and promote new product ideas.
  7. Create and execute go-to-market strategies for force measurement and sensor solutions.
  8. Monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and market demands to identify growth opportunities.
  9. Achieve or exceed sales targets by managing pipelines and closing deals efficiently.
  10. Provide accurate sales forecasts to support supply chain and budgeting processes.
  11. Support the sales team by promoting specific product lines and reviewing sales orders.
  12. Submit timely expense reports and assist finance with delinquent customer payments.
  13. Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and delivery performance.
Essential Skills
  1. 5+ years of proven success in industrial or outside sales, preferably in technical sales related to force measurement (e.g., load cells, force sensors).
  2. Experience in industries such as aerospace, automotive, manufacturing, medical devices, or industrial automation.
  3. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  4. Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently.
  5. Demonstrated 'hunter' mentality with a passion for growing business.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  1. Knowledge of mechanical, electronic, and software engineering principles is a strong plus.
  2. Proficient in Microsoft Office tools; data-driven and experienced in reporting.
  3. Familiarity with CRM systems and sales tracking software.
  4. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage both short-term tasks and long-term projects.
  5. Creative, hands-on problem solver with a drive for innovation.
  6. Willingness and ability to travel domestically and internationally as needed.
Work Environment & Benefits

The company is based in Hudson, MA but is open to remote work for experienced sales professionals capable of working independently.

Pay range: $100,000 - $125,000 per year. Further details to be updated.
