Job Description
To support our continued growth and commitment to customer excellence, we are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Business Development Manager to join our team. This role is ideal for a sales professional with a passion for technical solutions and a strong background in industrial or technical sales—particularly in force measurement and sensor technologies.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement effective sales strategies to drive business growth.
- Manage and expand key customer accounts across assigned territories.
- Build and maintain strong, face-to-face customer relationships through regular visits.
- Follow up on weekly web leads and proactively solicit new business opportunities.
- Provide technical product support and identify new project opportunities within existing accounts.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to develop and promote new product ideas.
- Create and execute go-to-market strategies for force measurement and sensor solutions.
- Monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and market demands to identify growth opportunities.
- Achieve or exceed sales targets by managing pipelines and closing deals efficiently.
- Provide accurate sales forecasts to support supply chain and budgeting processes.
- Support the sales team by promoting specific product lines and reviewing sales orders.
- Submit timely expense reports and assist finance with delinquent customer payments.
- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and delivery performance.
Essential Skills
- 5+ years of proven success in industrial or outside sales, preferably in technical sales related to force measurement (e.g., load cells, force sensors).
- Experience in industries such as aerospace, automotive, manufacturing, medical devices, or industrial automation.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently.
- Demonstrated 'hunter' mentality with a passion for growing business.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Knowledge of mechanical, electronic, and software engineering principles is a strong plus.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office tools; data-driven and experienced in reporting.
- Familiarity with CRM systems and sales tracking software.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage both short-term tasks and long-term projects.
- Creative, hands-on problem solver with a drive for innovation.
- Willingness and ability to travel domestically and internationally as needed.
Work Environment & Benefits
The company is based in Hudson, MA but is open to remote work for experienced sales professionals capable of working independently.
Pay range: $100,000 - $125,000 per year. Further details to be updated.
