Client: Confidential custom rigid plastic packaging manufacturer
A privately held, multi-generation family-owned manufacturer that designs and produces plastic bottles and closures for the food, beverage, consumer products, nutraceutical, supplement, and labware/medical markets. The company has grown rapidly over the past decade by out-serving much larger competitors on responsiveness and customer care, backed by state-of-the-art automated manufacturing that keeps quality high and pricing competitive.
The client has opened a new, highly automated manufacturing facility in the DFW metro and is hiring the person who will build its book of business from the ground up. The setup is rare for a packaging sales professional: significant open capacity close to prospects, lead times incumbent suppliers can't match, a mapped target market with named Tier A accounts, and direct executive sponsorship from ownership on the biggest pursuits.
This is a cold start. There is no inherited book and no handed-off pipeline. The BDM will research, call, and open the territory personally, with an AI-assisted research and outreach stack handling brief-building and drafting in the background. The facility is being built to substantial annual revenue within five years, all new business, with a committed anchor account already ramping. The target market includes a small number of prospective programs worth $5M+ per year each. Landed accounts belong to the BDM: 100% ownership and full commission credit regardless of executive involvement, uncapped.
Why is This a Great Opportunity: The client has opened a new, highly automated manufacturing facility in the DFW metro and is hiring the person who will build its book of business from the ground up. The setup is rare for a packaging sales professional: significant open capacity close to prospects, lead times incumbent suppliers can't match, a mapped target market with named Tier A accounts, and direct executive sponsorship from ownership on the biggest pursuits.
