About the role:

As a Business Development Manager, you will explore new opportunities with Tapestry’s global partners and customers. Your focus will be on growing and maintaining our business development pipeline within a growth-oriented startup environment that has achieved product-market fit. Your industry knowledge and relationships will help shape our projects and products. We seek a highly organized self-starter, persuasive communicator, and someone passionate about early-stage and growth businesses, comfortable with ambiguity.

How you will make 10x impact:
  • Close business deals with potential partners and end customers
  • Structure strategic partnership opportunities, lead negotiations, and execute agreements
  • Identify, qualify, and pursue new business opportunities
  • Stay informed on industry trends, regulations, and technologies to target potential partners
  • Collaborate with product and engineering teams
  • Track opportunities and engagement in Salesforce
  • Provide weekly activity reports
What you should have:
  • 10+ years of relevant experience in the Energy/Electricity industry, preferably in SaaS sales or business development
  • Experience developing term sheets and contracts
  • Experience working with energy providers or utilities
  • Proactive approach to developing new business leads
  • Ability to build relationships and lead complex projects
  • Excellent communication skills for engaging with C-level executives and stakeholders
  • Strong interpersonal skills and persistence
  • Working knowledge of Salesforce or similar CRM tools
  • Experience with strategic partnership meetings and engaging with C-level executives
Preferred qualifications:
  • Technical background in power systems or electrical engineering
  • Passion for energy sector and sustainability
  • Experience in fast-paced environments
  • Ability to connect market knowledge to new opportunities
  • Data-driven decision-making skills
  • Entrepreneurial mindset, curiosity, and strong collaboration skills

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $162,000 - $257,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Salary is determined by location, skills, experience, and education. The listed salary reflects the base only, excluding bonuses, equity, or benefits.
