Summary
The individual in this contract role will identify, build, and deepen relationships with customers and partners to maximize new and existing business opportunities. This individual will help drive the growth of QuEra as an industry leader and as a global business. They will take a lead role in effectively marketing and advancing QuEra’s unique and differentiated solutions in quantum computing.

Responsibilities

  1. Help build and execute commercial strategies and plans that grow our customer and partner network globally.
  2. Provide comprehensive BD leadership across a dynamic portfolio of customers, partners, and prospects.
  3. Identify, pursue, and capture new business opportunities in target markets, networks, and geographies.
  4. Build and deepen relationships with key customers and partners.
  5. Lead Voice of the Customer processes, effectively conveying external requirements and priorities to QuEra to develop and deliver optimal solutions.
  6. Represent and advocate for QuEra at industry events, conferences, and in all networking media, influencing the industry effectively.
  7. Collaborate with the CMO, BD team, and QuEra team members to maximize commercial interactions.
  8. Drive sales and marketing efforts independently; lead communications, materials, and coordination, aligning with leadership.
  9. Provide summaries and reports on market trends, competition, and BD outcomes.
  10. Work with leadership to execute commercial plans, track and report on projects, and fulfill resource needs.
  11. Capture, refine, and communicate commercial opportunities and challenges; address root causes and drive improvements.
  12. Serve as a commercial hub, synthesizing customer needs and market data to define business priorities.
  13. Connect commercial needs to internal resources, identifying essential resources for specific situations.
  14. Align commercial processes with project and product development lifecycle.
  15. Assist the CMO in building commercial capabilities, methodologies, and processes.
  16. Build and leverage customer and partner feedback loops for continuous improvement.
  17. Help improve overall work practices and collaboration at QuEra.

Qualifications

  1. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business or Marketing.
  2. 5+ years leading complex, high-difficulty commercial projects.
  3. Minimum of 15 years of BD and Sales experience.
  4. Advanced understanding of quantum solutions, HPC, and market dynamics.
  5. Experience in selling and marketing new-to-world products/services.
  6. Technical experience or certifications preferred.
  7. Experience in Corporate Development, alliances, IP licensing.
  8. Relationship management skills.
  9. Excellent presentation, communication, and PR skills.
  10. Experience in program management, contracting, and negotiation.
  11. Proven collaboration with technical teams and networks.
