Job summary

Crane Co. is seeking a Business Development Intern for onsite work in Saddle Brook, New Jersey. You will assist the Global Business Line Management team with market research, pricing, and sales reporting, gaining exposure to product management and commercial strategy.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze data, forecast performance, and drive growth initiatives, developing business analytics skills in a global industrial automation context.

Qualifications

• Pursuing or in process of completing a B.S. in Business, Marketing, Sales, or related field.
• Strong analytical and communication skills with market awareness.
• Familiar with pricing strategies and product lifecycles.
• Proficiency in Excel and data analysis tools required.

Responsibilities

• Market research for Valve Switchboxes and Positioners to grow organically or inorganically.
• Define and automate project and quote win/loss analyses; perform hit-rate analysis.
• Drive pricing efficiency and forecast improvement using data modeling.
• Create standard workflow documents for day-to-day reporting.
• Review market trends to target existing and new product development.

## Business Development InternApply: Onsite: Saddle Brook, New Jersey: Full time: Posted 2 Days Ago: JR102598**Position Summary:** * The Business Development Intern will support the Global Business Line Management team by assisting with business analysis, market research, pricing analysis, sales reporting, forecasting, and strategic growth initiatives.* This role provides hands-on exposure to product management, commercial strategy, market intelligence, and business analytics within a global industrial automation business.* The intern will work closely with Global Business Line Managers, Regional Business Line Managers, Sales Leaders, Product Managers, and cross-functional teams to collect, analyze, and communicate critical business information that supports growth, profitability, and customer engagement initiatives.**Principle Duties (includes, but is not limited to):*** Market Research for Valve Switchboxes and Positioners to grow organically or inorganically* Define and Automate Project and Quote win/loss analysis and conduct Hit Rate Analysis to support funnel growth* Drive pricing efficiency and forecast improvement using data modeling techniques.* Create Standard Workflow documents for day-to-day reporting processes* Review market trends and emerging segments to target existing and new product development and growth. **Essential Qualifications / Experience:**· In process of obtaining B.S. in Business, Marketing, Sales, or related degree.· Exceptional marketing and analytical skills.· Knowledge of different sales strategies and product life cycle.· Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.· Excellent presentation skills and costumer focus.· Ability to operate across the business and in different environments/cultures.· Highly motivated, innovative, and sound negotiation skills.· Proficient in Excel and other Microsoft Office software.· College degree or equivalent educational experience, in a technical or business-related subject e.g. engineering, manufacturing, business systems or marketing· 2 or more years of business analysis experience· 2 or more years of Power Bi and Salesforce experience · Advanced Excel knowledge is a must· Strong Manufacturing / Supply Chain knowledge· Ability to effectively handle multiple priorities· Ability to operate across the business and in different environments and cultures.**Preferred Qualifications/Experience**· Experience in Product Management for a technical product.· Oil & Gas / Power / Chemical industry experience· Knowledge of different sales strategies· Knowledge of 80/20 Pricing StrategiesEOE/Women/Minorities/Veterans/DisabledSalary range: $25.00 hourly.
