Job summary

Ryder in Indianapolis is seeking a Business Development Manager to hunt and grow new customer business within a 60–70 mile radius of Central Indiana. You will educate prospects on Ryder's full-service offering and manage the sales process from lead to close, with travel and a strong commission payout.

You will work with ARs, CDMs, and National Sales to generate opportunities, develop plans, and ensure a smooth transition of accounts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in Business and/or Finance and Accounting or equivalent experience.
• Five (5) years or more demonstrated consecutive sales excellence in prior sales responsibilities.
• Good understanding of Ryder’s product offerings. Represent the full spectrum of Ryder’s services to new and potential customers.
• Ability to interpret financial data.

Responsibilities

• Develop pre-sales strategy and sales activity pipeline to meet quota.
• Identify prospect needs and develop value-based proposals.
• Report sales activity to management and ensure SOM compliance.
• Train and improve sales skills and industry knowledge.
