Bid Evolution connects clients with qualified painting, drywall, and glazing contractors for commercial finishing projects in the Chicago, Peoria, and Rockford areas. Our roster includes 400 contractors and 2,500 skilled craftspeople. All professionals are thoroughly vetted, trained, and skilled. Our priority is to match clients with reliable contractors who complete the job right and on time. This service is provided at no cost to clients.

Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role based in Aurora, IL. The Business Development Field Representative will handle inside/outside sales, lead generation, client relationship management, and business development. Daily tasks include identifying potential clients, pitching services, and managing sales processes. Effective communication with clients and team members is essential.

Qualifications

  • Experience in lead generation and business development
  • Ability to identify opportunities among general contractors, architects, building engineers, managers, procurement officers, and end users in the construction industry
  • Networking skills with finishing contractors across various market segments
  • Proficiency in traditional and innovative sales techniques, including cold calling, pitching, and delivering presentations
  • Experience managing a CRM database to organize and track activities
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Proven success in achieving sales targets
  • Ability to work independently and on-site in Aurora, IL
  • Experience in construction or commercial finishing is a plus
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or related field
  • Valid driver’s license required
