Overview

The Industrial Water market is a niche business requiring dedicated expertise in this field of practice. Our experience has shown that a key differentiator in developing business with our clients is, as an EPC contractor, the ability to identify the correct treatment solutions and demonstrate our expertise in implementing said solutions. As a Business Development Director, you will work with the Industrial Water Market leader in the development and implementation of aggressive sales and marketing effortsto achieve overall corporate and project objectives, and ensuring profitability.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Researching and identifying prospects and executing sales outreach
  • Communicating with prospects up to the time a specific project is secured under contract and after project completion
  • Collaborating with Market Leader, Design Managers, Project Directors, and clients to foster complete concepts, minimization of rework and Value Engineering Processes, and high client satisfaction
  • Collaborting with the marketing team on proposal development, digital presence, trade show participation, and materials and marketing strategy implementation
  • Supporting project execution teams byproviding detailed background information and supporting the developmentof presentation strategy
  • PresentingatindustryeventsandHaskelltechnicalsummits
  • Partnering with Market and Division Leaders withclient acquisition activities,marketresearch,andclienttargetingstrategy
  • Directing andassistingthe Business Development teams across marketson strategy and implementationofclient outreach, correspondence, selling techniques, and presentations
  • Leading market-specificpresentations and support project execution teams byproviding detailed background information and developing presentation strategy
  • Coordinatingwith engineering leadership toidentifyrequiredtechnicalcompetencies andassistin creating astrategy to address specific project needs
  • Supporting Project Directors with pursuit development and capture strategy
  • Becomes an active member inappropriate national, state, regional, community and industry organizations (AWWA, WEFTEC, etc)
  • Travelasrequired
  • Otherdutiesmaybeassignedasneeded

To thrive in this role, you'll need:

  • Exhibit strong water and wastewater treatment technical knowledge, including primary treatment (e.g., physical/chemicalprocesses), secondary treatment (e.g., biological processes, biological nutrient removal), and tertiary treatment (i.e., membrane processes, disinfection, and water recycle) processes as well as residuals management (e.g., digestion and dewatering)
  • Working knowledge of wastewater permitting requirements at the federal, state, and local levelsis required
  • A thorough understanding of the application of alternative treatment processes
  • Exhibitanadvancedlevelofclientconfidence and satisfaction asmeasuredbyclientfeedback,surveyprocess,and internal observation
  • Knowledge andcommunicationskillsettobridgetechnicalandoperationalcontexts

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor's degreeinCivil, Environmental, or other relevantEngineering
  • 10+ years of experience within the industrial water market

Environmental Factors and/or Physical Requirements:

While performing the duties of this job, this position is required to have ordinary ambulatory skills sufficient to visit other locations; and the ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, and manipulate (lift, carry, move) light to medium weights of 10-50 pounds. Requires good hand-eye coordination, and arm, hand and finger dexterity, including the ability to grasp, and visual acuity to use a keyboard, operate equipment and read application/form information. The associate frequently is required to sit, reach with hands and arms, talk, and hear.
