Job summary

You will assist with market research on law firms and prospective clients, monitor legal industry developments, and help prepare briefing materials and pitch content under senior supervision.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 1–3 years of relevant marketing, business development, or market research experience; experience in a law firm or professional services environment is a plus.
• Experience with market research, media monitoring, or business intelligence tools.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, and AI-enabled research tools.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with excellent attention to detail.

Responsibilities

Our services include forensic accounting, litigation support and expert testimony, restructuring and turnaround management, transaction support and due diligence, executive search and interim management, and real estate advisory services, including our national receivership platform.

Position Overview
Support the firm's Head of Business Development through market research, communications, and coordination on litigation-focused business development and marketing initiatives. This role is well-suited for an early-career marketing or business development professional looking to build expertise in the legal and professional services industry.

Position Responsibilities

• Assist with research on litigation matters, law firms, attorneys, and prospective client companies to support business development efforts
• Help monitor litigation news, dockets, and legal industry developments, flagging items relevant to the firm's practice areas
• Research publicly available court filings and case information as directed by senior team members
• Compile research findings into clear, organized summaries for review by senior BD and marketing staff
• Draft and proofread emails, presentation materials, and research summaries; support the creation of pitch materials under guidance
• Help prepare briefing materials and background research for attorney, client, and prospect meetings
• Support event logistics for conferences, sponsorships, and client events, along with marketing and website initiatives
• Coordinate meeting scheduling, travel arrangements, and expense reporting as needed
• Collaborate with senior professionals across the firm on business development projects

Position Requirements

• Bachelor's degree required
• 1-3 years of relevant marketing, business development, or market research experience; experience gained within a law firm, litigation consulting firm, forensic accounting firm, expert services firm, or other professional services environment a plus
• Experience with market research, media monitoring, or business intelligence tools (e.g., LexisNexis, Google Alerts, Meltwater, Cision, PitchBook, or similar platforms); familiarity with legal or litigation-specific research tools (Westlaw, PACER, Law360, etc.) a plus but not required
• Experience with Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, and AI-enabled research and productivity tools
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to draft polished professional communications
• Excellent organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail
• Ability to manage multiple research projects, priorities, and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• High degree of professionalism, discretion, diplomacy, and client-service orientation
• Ability to work independently, take initiative, and exercise sound judgment, with support and mentorship from senior team members
