Job summary

General Produce is seeking an energetic Business Development Associate for the Chico region. This hybrid in-field role focuses on building relationships and expanding our customer base across Northern and Central California and nearby markets.

You will identify new accounts, respond to inquiries, and advise customers on products and substitutions, while representing some of the freshest produce in the industry. The position offers comprehensive benefits and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; college coursework in sales/marketing preferred.
• Must have a valid California Driver License with minimal points.

Responsibilities

• Schedule: Full time, Monday–Friday, 8AM–5PM.
• Develop new business through in-person customer interactions.
• Identify and pursue new accounts to generate profitable business.
• Respond to customer inquiries about products, pricing and delivery schedules.
• Advise customers on products based on needs and suggest substitutions when applicable.
• Maintain knowledge of available products and stay informed on market conditions.
