Job summary

Universal Processing LLC (uP) seeks a Business Development Associate for a fully onsite, five‑day workweek in New York. You will be the brand ambassador, introducing our payments solutions to clients and gathering leads through cold calls and appointments.

We offer one month of paid training and a base rate of $27.00/hour during probation, increasing to $30.00/hour after completion, with medical, vision, dental, generous PTO and a 401(k).

Qualifications

• Authorized to work in the US; E-Verify employer.
• Bilingual Mandarin Chinese; read/write Mandarin.
• High school diploma or equivalent; BA/BS preferred.
• Sales or customer service experience preferred but not required.
• Strong communication, critical thinking, detail-oriented and analytical.
• Confident on the phone; ability to connect with clients.
• Eager to learn and develop negotiation and sales skills.

Responsibilities

• Gather leads, make cold calls, and schedule appointments with SMBs.
• Engage conversations with small-to-medium businesses, presenting products.
• Collect business information for pricing analysis and input into databases.
• Gather credit card processing statements for pricing insights.
• Follow up with prospects to advance opportunities.
• Manage the sales pipeline and develop a payment strategy.
• Meet and exceed sales targets.

Compensation: This is a non-exempt position, with a base rate of$27.00/hourduring the probationary period. Upon successful completion of the probationary period, the base rate will increase to$30.00/hour.

Role Summary: The Business Development Associate role is a fully onsite position, 5 days a week. This position serves as the first point of contact to our clients, as part of our sales department. You will be the brand ambassador to our company by introducing the business solutions we provide to the clients.

A Work Day of a Business Development Associate

Responsibilities:

• Gather leads, conduct cold calls, and schedule appointments to develop new business
• Engage conversations with small-to-medium-sized business owners by introducing products and services
• Obtain business information such as business name, address, current marketing strategies, payment method, sales volume, and current pricing; inputting lead information into databases
• Gather credit card processing statements for pricing analysis and to understand business financial situations
• Follow up with potential clients to further engage business opportunities
• Manage the business pipeline and develop a payment strategy for long-term success
• Meet and exceed required sales targets.

Qualifications:

• Must be authorized to work in the US at the time of hire. We are an E-Verify employer!
• Bilingual proficiency inMandarin-Chineseis required; must be able to read and write in Mandarin
• Highschool diploma or equivalent required;Bachelor’s degree in Business, Business Administration, Communications, Finance, or related field preferred
• Previous sales or customer service experience preferred, but not required
• Strong communication skills, critical thinking, detail-oriented, and analytical abilities
• Ability to be well-spoken and confidently connect with potential clients on the phone
• Aptitude for learning and a drive to develop your negotiation and sales skills.
