Job summary

Universal Processing LLC in Flushing, NY is seeking a Technical Support - Bilingual (Mandarin) to serve clients onsite and support sales efforts. The role requires a technical background and strong client-facing skills to troubleshoot systems and deploy software/hardware.

You will onboard users, provide remote support, and collaborate with Operations and Sales to deliver the best POS solutions. Proactive problem-solving and teamwork are essential for success in this position.

Compensation

This is a non-exempt position, with a monthly salary of $3,600 during the probationary period. Upon successful completion of the probationary period, the base rate will increase to $4,000 per month.

Role Summary

The Technical Support - Bilingual in Chinese role is a fully onsite position 5 days a week in our Flushing, NY office. This position is a critical role that interacts directly with our clients, supports our sales effort, and troubleshoots our systems.

This role requires a technical background. You will be expected to perform client-facing work, alongside troubleshooting for our clients.

A Day in the Life of a Technical Support

Responsibilities

• Prepare, install, and configure software & hardware for deployment
• Onboard and train new users for newly deployed software and hardware
• Perform remote troubleshooting over the phone and through remote control tools
• Identify and analyze issues for software and/or hardware
• Partner with the Operations and Sales departments to provide the best solution for POS inquiries
• Collect feedback from end-users and work with the Development team for future product improvement
• Assist in inventory tracking and management

Qualifications

• Must be authorized to work in the US at the time of hire. We are an E-Verify employer!
• Bilingual proficiency in Mandarin is required, both reading and writing included.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Network Administration, or related field is a plus
• Strong communication skills, critical thinking, detail-oriented, and analytical abilities.
• Able to actively listen to clients and interact with clients in a friendly and patient manner
• Able to take initiative to solve problem effectively
• Self-motivated to learn new systems and installation of products
• Able to accomplish tasks before deadlines and be detail-oriented
• Able to work efficiently as part of a team and as an individual
• Proficient with Excel and Word
• Prior experience with POS-systems and terminals is a big plus
