It is the mission of Holman Recovery Center to provide compassionate care to people with substance use disorders in a supportive, non-judgmental residential environment. Our vision is to teach people to utilize the skills needed for long-term recovery through a holistic approach, evidence-based practices and improving relationships to live the life they deserve. The Business Development & Community Relations Manager has accountability for the patient experience from the point of building referral source relationships to secure admissions to HRC. The Manager develops and executes HRC’s business development and patient access strategy to meet/exceed goals and objectives, across all service lines of business. The Manager maintains a pulse on relations between the Holman Recovery Center, stakeholders and clients and identifies strategic partnership opportunities to maximize impact to the company’s mission and bottom line.

Accountabilities
  • Represent Holman’s behavioral healthcare services to community-based resources to expand program awareness on the county, region and state level
  • Expand business relationships with current stakeholders while developing/executing strategies for engaging new stakeholders to diversify client acquisition sources.
  • Interact with key stakeholder's decision makers; learns the way stakeholders do business; develops an understanding of how clients interact in the marketplace; knows how the competition relates to clients; and finds ways to maintain productive relationships with each stakeholder client.
  • Support behavioral health program initiatives through outreach activities
  • Develops and grows professional relationships with senior executives, medical professionals, and other key decision makers of prospective referral sources
  • Maintains a regular servicing schedule that organizes a balance of referral partner maintenance and new business development.
  • Effectively converts an inquiry to a rescue by managing the referral and admissions process.
  • Understands the geographic area for potential referral opportunities
  • Assists in the development of marketing/PR materials that will be utilized for building/maintaining relationships for the geographic area
  • Work with network of professionals and follow-up accordingly
  • Arranging meetings with clients and carrying out facility tours
  • Working closely with supervisor and treatment facility leadership to develop new business.
  • Develop and/or participates in seminars and campaigns for the benefit of obtaining prospective referral resources
  • Oversee all aspects of marketing (aka social media, direct email, etc) including organization and attendance at networking and promotional events
  • Maintain and update HRC website / promotional videos as needed
  • Identify and remove barriers associated with client access to services
  • Other duties as assigned
Qualifications and Knowledge
  • Ability to work as a member of a team as well as independently
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules or policy & procedure manuals
  • Demonstrate proficiency in verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions in written, oral, or diagram form
  • Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations
  • Ability to be flexible in relation to department needs
  • Has a general understanding of treatment modalities, levels of care, and industry best practices for treating substance use and co‑occurring disorders.
Education, Experience and Skills
  • Bachelor degree in human services, business, or related discipline or 5 years of experience may be substituted for degree.
  • 5+ years of experience in a business development/sales position and knowledge of substance use disorder addiction treatment
  • Willingness to work non-traditional hours in a fast‑paced, high‑stakes, deadline‑sensitive environment.
  • Ability to work as a team member, and willingness to give and receive constructive feedback to produce the highest‑quality product every time.
  • Drivers license

  • Body Positioning: Spend time sitting and standing, making repetitive motions, and spend time using hands to handle, control or feel objects, tools or controls. Frequently lift or move up to 10 lbs and occasionally lift or move up to 50 lbs
