Business Development Analyst II

Role Overview:

As a Business Development Analyst II, you will support our go-to-market strategy by engaging early-stage prospects, developing our sales pipeline, and coordinating product demonstrations.

Primary Responsibilities:
  1. Discovery Call & Demo Coordination (Non-Blackboard/Reach Solutions):
  • Manage the front end of the sales cycle for Anthology Premium solutions such as Engage, Ally, Evaluate, Planning, and Outcomes.
  • Participate in discovery calls and document needs analysis.
  • Submit Solution Engineer requests based on client objectives.
  • Schedule product demonstrations and coordinate across teams.
  • Maintain CRM accuracy for early-stage opportunities.
  • Pipeline Development for Blackboard and Reach:
    • Execute outbound prospecting and lead qualification for new Blackboard and Reach opportunities.
    • Engage with high-potential institutions and decision-makers.
    • Collaborate with Regional Sales Managers to align efforts.
    • Track outreach results and identify qualified leads.
  • Targeted Outreach for Engage and Ally:
    • Proactively initiate conversations with departments that benefit from these solutions.
    • Use messaging to reinforce Anthology’s leadership and counter competitors.
    • Partner with marketing and sales to deploy campaigns and monitor results.
  • Processing Transactions:
    • Handle fulfillment of point solutions and service requests to meet client needs.
    The Candidate:
    Required Skills & Qualifications:
    • 1–2 years in sales development, business development, or lead generation, preferably in SaaS or EdTech.
    • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
    • Experience with outbound prospecting and managing complex schedules.
    • Highly organized, results-oriented, proactive, and detail-focused.
    • Team player with a collaborative mindset supporting multiple sales reps.
    • Experience with CRM tools, preferably Salesforce.
    Preferred Skills & Qualifications:
    • Knowledge of higher education processes and supporting technologies.
    • Understanding of the SaaS education sales cycle.
    Compensation:

    The pay range is $71,900 - $85,000 per year, depending on experience. Compensation considers market data, role budget, and internal salary structures. Some roles may include variable pay.
