Business Development Analyst II - East (Finance)

Role Overview:

As a Business Development Analyst II, you will support our go-to-market strategy by engaging early-stage prospects, developing sales pipelines, and coordinating product demonstrations.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Discovery Call & Demo Coordination
  • Manage the initial sales cycle for Anthology Premium solutions such as Engage, Ally, Evaluate, Planning, and Outcomes.
  • Participate in and document discovery calls, conducting needs analysis.
  • Coordinate with Solution Engineers (SEs) by submitting requests based on client needs.
  • Schedule product demonstrations and ensure alignment across teams.
  • Maintain accurate CRM records for early-stage opportunities.
  1. Pipeline Development for Blackboard and Reach
  • Execute outbound prospecting and lead qualification to build a pipeline for new Blackboard and Reach opportunities.
  • Reach out to high-potential institutions and decision-makers, as identified by sales and marketing teams.
  • Collaborate with Regional Sales Managers to align efforts with strategic growth goals.
  • Track outreach results and identify qualified leads for further engagement.
  1. Targeted Outreach for Engage and Ally
  • Proactively initiate conversations about Engage and Ally with departments that can benefit from these solutions.
  • Use messaging that highlights Anthology's market leadership and addresses competitive pressures.
  • Partner with marketing and sales teams to execute campaigns and monitor their effectiveness.
  1. Processing Transactions
  • Handle fulfillment of point solutions and service requests, such as Portfolio, Encompass, and Engage add-ons, to meet client needs.

Candidate Profile:

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • 1-2 years in sales development, business development, or lead generation, preferably in SaaS or EdTech.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience with outbound prospecting and managing complex schedules.
  • Highly organized, results-driven, proactive, and detail-oriented.
  • Team-oriented with the ability to support multiple sales reps simultaneously.
  • Experience with CRM tools, preferably Salesforce.

Preferred Skills & Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of higher education processes and related technology landscape.
  • Understanding of the SaaS sales cycle in education solutions.

The salary range is $71,900 - $85,000 annually, based on experience and other factors such as market rates and internal pay structures. Some roles may include variable pay.
