Job summary

JK Moving Services is seeking a Business Development Representative in Sterling, VA to drive revenue growth by generating new business and managing existing client relationships. You will balance outbound prospecting with account management, maintaining a robust CRM, and supporting proposals and client communications.

The role requires 1-3 years in sales or business development, strong communication, and the ability to multitask across accounts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, Communications, or related field preferred.
• 1-3 years of experience in sales, business development, or account management (moving, logistics, or related industry a plus).
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport and maintain client relationships.

Responsibilities

• Research, identify, and engage with potential clients through outbound calls, emails, networking, and events.
• Maintain a steady pipeline of qualified prospects to meet or exceed team revenue goals.
• Support the preparation of proposals, presentations, and other client-facing materials.
• Accurately maintain prospect and lead information in the CRM system.
• Represent JK Moving Services at trade shows, networking events, and industry functions.
• Track personal metrics (outreach, conversion, and booked appointments) to align with company goals.
• Collaborate with the Business Development Manager on strategies for target markets and outreach.
• Serve as a point of contact for assigned clients, ensuring timely responses and high-quality service.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships to encourage repeat business and long-term partnerships.
• Coordinate with internal departments (operations, customer service, sales) to address client needs.
• Identify upselling and cross-selling opportunities to expand services within existing accounts.
• Assist in preparing and delivering client performance reviews and reports.
• Monitor client satisfaction and elevate issues when necessary to ensure retention and service quality.
• Support renewal and contract discussions under the guidance of the Business Dev. manager.
