Hereu2019s what youu2019d do:

The Business Developer works to improve BrightViewu2019s market position and achieve profitable financial growth. This role helps to achieve long-term organizational strategic goals, builds key customer relationships, identifies business opportunities, negotiates, and closes business deals and maintains extensive knowledge of current market conditions. The business developer manages the sales pipeline from prospecting to closing and is responsible for full cycle landscape and, depending on region, snow sales. The business developer collaborates and works with partners including operations, finance, marketing, and more to manage responses to bids in an effort to meet sales targets. u00A0u00A0

Youu2019d be responsible for:

  • Work with prospective customers to discover their u201Cpoints of painu201D and develop solutionsu00A0
  • Accurately forecast sales deliverables and KPIu2019s
  • Achieve sales goals and be able to work independently
  • Perform sales prospecting using consultative sales techniques to build long standing business relationships; marketing; pricing.u00A0
  • Prepares and conducts heavy phone prospecting, sales presentations, virtual demonstrations, and handle contract negotiations with minimum supervision.u00A0
  • Identify customer needs and utilize solution-based selling techniques to fully demonstrate value of BrightView services
  • Cultivate and maintain relationships with prospects and existing clients
  • Builds and maintains trust-based professional relationships with key decision makersu00A0
  • Plan daily and hit specific activity benchmarks and close businessu00A0
  • Logs activity consistently and reliably in CRM (Salesforce)u00A0
  • Works in a fast-paced environment while operating with a high sense of urgency
  • Communicates proactively with all decision makers and influencers.u00A0

You might be a good fit if you have:

  • Bacheloru2019s Degree or equivalent work experience u00A0
  • Extensive face-to-face (B2B) selling experience at the mid to senior levels, 3-5 years of experience
  • Experience managing multiple projects and able to multi-task in a large territoryu00A0
  • Proficient with computer programs including MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
  • Experience with a CRM or SFA toolu00A0
  • Proven track record of sales goal attainment and pipeline managementu00A0
  • Highly competitive, positive, and results drivenu00A0
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills to build client-centric and solution/value-based proposalsu00A0
  • Working experience with social mediau00A0
  • Local knowledge and contacts in one or more market segments preferredu00A0
  • Ability to be self-motivated and self-directed
  • Experience in the service industry with commercial contract sales desirable
