Job summary

UChicago Medicine is seeking a Program Manager, Business Continuity in Hyde Park (Chicago, IL) to lead preparedness and response efforts ensuring uninterrupted operations. This role is on-site with opportunities for remote work within the greater Chicagoland area.

You will collaborate with senior management and EHS and Emergency Management teams to develop and execute enterprise-wide continuity plans, coordinate internal drills, and liaison with local authorities to strengthen disaster planning

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree required; Master’s preferred.
5–7 years’ experience in Emergency Management and/or Business Continuity, healthcare setting preferred.
Experience with Hospital Incident Command Structure (HICS) and regulatory compliance is desirable.
Ability to interact effectively across all levels of the organization and lead multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

Develops a continuity of operations plan using an all-hazards approach to maintain essential functions.
Sets disaster drill schedules and measures success of strategic goals.
Collaborates with IT to align continuity plans with disaster recovery.
Reviews policies to ensure compliance and alignment with external regulations.
Assigns roles within the leadership structure and trains senior leaders for response.
Directs the Business Continuity Executive Management Committee and reviews standards.
