Job description

We are seeking a Senior Business Consulting Manager with a background in Defence to drive business in Technology Transformation consultancy services into Aerospace, Defence and Secure (ADS) clients.

What you’ll be doing:

As a Senior Business Consulting Manager, you will drive growth in Technology Transformation consultancy services into ADS clients, acting as a trusted advisor across Defence and Secure sectors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Account development: Identify partners, understand strategic drivers, and craft compelling solutions in collaboration with multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Programme leadership: Lead complex, multi-team programmes (>20 people), and build lasting relationships with clients and colleagues.
  • Opportunity spotting: Proactively identify and qualify sales opportunities, lead bids and deliver business-winning proposals.
  • Multi functional delivery: Ensure seamless delivery across applications, cloud, infrastructure, and data transformation.
  • Leadership: Mentor junior consultants, shape high-performance teams, and cultivate a consulting-first culture.
  • Client engagement: Engage at senior level, influence decision-making, and translate complex needs into clear, value-driven technology solutions.
  • Quality & negotiation: Uphold rigorous standards while negotiating favourable outcomes for clients and Sopra Steria.

What you’ll bring:

  • ·Hold enhanced DV (eDV) clearance (essential).
  • · Strategic-level experience across at least two ADS sectors, with the past two years focused on Intelligence Community consulting.
  • ·Shown success in winning, delivering, and scaling technology transformation programmes in Defence/Secure environments.
  • ·Senior-level commercial acumen analysing complex problems and implementing practical, innovative solutions.
  • ·Exemplary interpersonal, communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.
  • ·Deep understanding of business drivers behind technology transformation.
  • ·Extensive senior network within ADS clients and partners.
  • ·Background in leading large teams and high-stakes programmes.
