The Business Compliance Coordinator is responsible for administering, coordinating, and monitoring the City’s business licensing compliance program. This position serves as the primary liaison between the City and the business community, promoting voluntary compliance through education, communication, and partnership while ensuring adherence to licensing, permitting, and regulatory requirements.
The Business Compliance Coordinator works collaboratively with business owners, City departments, community organizations, and regulatory agencies to support economic development, maintain accurate business records, and ensure businesses operating within the City are properly licensed and compliant with applicable ordinances.
City employees shall conduct themselves in a professional manner and shall exhibit and extend such professional conduct appropriate for the circumstances to those with whom they come into contact both internally and externally during the performance of their duties. Examples of professional conduct include, but are not limited to, being communicative, informative, fair, honest, and respectful.
Work is conducted in an office environment. Work involves community travel, sitting, standing, stooping, reaching, and bending. Lifting plans set daily with weights of up to 30 lbs. Some overnight or day travel may be required for business purposes. Vacation and other leave scheduling shall be requested and approved by the appropriate supervisor.
High school diploma or equivalent required. Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a related field desirable; any combination of formal education and work experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities will be considered.
