Job summary

Capaxrm is seeking a Senior Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central Specialist to own and advance the company's ERP environment. The role is hybrid with 1-2 days onsite weekly, reporting to the ERP team and collaborating with Finance, Manufacturing, Warehousing and Operations.

You will drive system enhancements, manage integrations and support a Mexico rollout while leveraging Power BI for finance analytics and warehouse optimization.

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, ideally including a Dynamics NAV background.
• Experience supporting ERP systems within manufacturing, distribution or warehousing environments.
• Good understanding of inventory management, purchasing, shipping, EDI and warehouse operations.
• Experience with ERP integrations, troubleshooting, customisations and system configuration.
• Working knowledge of Business Central Finance, including inventory costing and financial processes.

Responsibilities

• ERP Ownership: Take responsibility for the day-to-day administration, support, configuration and continuous improvement of Business Central.
• Warehousing & EDI: Support and optimise warehouse management, shipping and EDI processes, including existing Lanham solutions.
• International Implementation: Rollout to a manufacturing facility in Mexico, supporting configuration, integrations, testing and user adoption.
• Technical Support & Development: Troubleshoot customisations, integrations and system issues, working with external developers where necessary.
• Reporting & Finance: Support financial processes, inventory costing, Power BI reporting and integrations with third-party applications such as Avalara.
• ERP Roadmap: Evaluate potential system enhancements, including alternative warehouse management solutions such as Insight Works.

About the Opportunity

An established, family-owned manufacturer is seeking an experienced Microsoft Dynamics NAV/Business Central professional to take ownership of its ERP environment and support the next phase of business growth.

Having migrated from NAV to Business Central approximately two years ago, the company is now focused on improving its existing system, modernising warehouse operations and expanding Business Central into its international manufacturing facilities.

This is a broad, hands-on position offering genuine ownership of a business-critical ERP system. You'll work directly with Finance, Manufacturing, Warehousing and Operations, while helping shape the company's long-term ERP strategy.

Key Responsibilities

• ERP Ownership: Take responsibility for the day-to-day administration, support, configuration and continuous improvement of Business Central.


• Warehousing & EDI: Support and optimise warehouse management, shipping and EDI processes, including existing Lanham solutions.


• International Implementation: Play a key role in the planned Business Central rollout to a manufacturing facility in Mexico, supporting configuration, integrations, testing and user adoption.


• Technical Support & Development: Troubleshoot customisations, integrations and system issues, working with external developers where necessary.

Required Experience

• Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, ideally including a Dynamics NAV background.


• Experience supporting ERP systems within manufacturing, distribution or warehousing environments.


• Good understanding of inventory management, purchasing, shipping, EDI and warehouse operations.


• Experience with ERP integrations, troubleshooting, customisations and system configuration.


• Working knowledge of Business Central Finance, including inventory costing and financial processes.


• Ability to independently manage ERP priorities and communicate effectively with both technical and nontechnical stakeholders.


• Previous involvement in ERP implementations, upgrades or significant system improvement projects.


• Experience with Lanham WMS, E-Ship, EDI or Insight Works.


• Business Central AL development and extension management.


• Power BI, reporting and workflow automation.


• Experience with Avalara or similar tax integrations.


• Exposure to international ERP implementations, particularly Mexican manufacturing operations.


• Experience coordinating external Microsoft partners and technical vendors.
