Duties
- Lead legal oversight of real property acquisition and disposition transactions.
- Ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory obligations.
- Review title, zoning, easements, and property-related due diligence.
- Provide legal oversight for facilities operations.
- Review and negotiate facility-related vendor agreements and service contracts.
- Support school site renovations, relocations, and capital improvement projects.
- Draft and review public bidding documents and negotiate resulting contracts.
- Ensure contract terms address liability, indemnification, and school district interests.
- Ensure compliance with competitive bidding and public procurement requirements.
- Resolve disputes involving leases, vendors, and service providers.
Requirements
- Three to five years of practice experience.
- Experience in commercial real estate transactions, corporate contracts, and business operations law.
- Experience in facilities or property management legal matters.
- Advising public agencies experience recommended but not required.
- Member of the State Bar of California.
Education
Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school required.
Certifications
- Member of the State Bar of California.
