Job summary

Bridgenext is seeking an experienced Business Analyst / Product Owner to bridge business stakeholders with technical teams, focusing on data-driven projects that deliver measurable value.

You will own data initiatives, define requirements, and manage roadmaps while collaborating with engineering, data science, and analytics teams to ensure successful delivery and robust KPIs.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst or Product Owner on data-focused projects.
• Proven experience with data warehousing, analytics platforms, or data pipeline projects.
• Strong understanding of data concepts (ETL, data modeling, analytics, reporting).
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Proficiency in tools such as Jira, Confluence, SQL (basic understanding), and BI platforms.
• Ability to work in an Agile/Scrum environment.

Responsibilities

• Gather, analyze, and document business requirements from stakeholders and translate them into clear technical specifications.
• Own the product roadmap for data initiatives and prioritize features based on business impact.
• Collaborate with engineering, data science, and analytics teams to ensure successful project delivery.
• Conduct market research and competitive analysis to inform product positioning and feature prioritization.
• Define and track KPIs and success metrics for data projects.
• Facilitate communication between non-technical stakeholders and technical teams.
• Conduct user research and incorporate feedback into product iterations.
• Manage the product backlog and ensure user stories are well-documented and prioritized.
• Participate in sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.
• Identify risks, dependencies, and mitigation strategies throughout the project lifecycle.

Position Description

We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst / Product Owner to join our team and drive the success of our data-driven projects. You will be responsible for bridging the gap between business stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring that data solutions align with business objectives and deliver measurable value. This is a critical role for someone passionate about translating complex data requirements into actionable product strategies.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Workplace: This is a hybrid role, open to candidates based within a commutable distance to Dallas, TX area as occasional in office presence is required.

Must Have Skills:

• 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst or Product Owner on data-focused projects
• Proven experience with data warehousing, analytics platforms, or data pipeline projects
• Strong understanding of data concepts (ETL, data modeling, analytics, reporting)
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
• Proficiency in tools such as Jira, Confluence, SQL (basic understanding), and BI platforms
• Ability to work in an Agile/Scrum environment

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
• Certification in Business Analysis (CBAP, CCBA) or Product Management
