Hawaiian Electric Companies in Honolulu – Oahu is seeking a Business Analyst to lead CER process improvements, analyze data, and maintain policy documents. The role supports new programs, performs audits, and coordinates data reports while participating in emergency response activities as needed.

The ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree and strong experience in data analysis, process management, and project management within energy or CER operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, economics, statistics, computer science, or related field of study, or equivalent experience.
• Lean Six Sigma Black Belt or Green Belt certification preferred.
• Knowledge of business and data analysis, process management, project management, and change management.
• Databases, simulation models and tracking systems familiarity.
• MS Access, Excel, BI, AI, and collaboration tools proficiency.
• Strong PC skills, including spreadsheets, word processing, database management, and AI tools (Copilot).
• Working knowledge of CER operations is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Leads CER process developments and improvements by researching, analyzing, and reviewing business procedures to reduce inefficiencies and risks.
• Gathers requirements to prepare formalized work plans to deliver solutions supporting business needs/goals.
• Monitors adopted solutions and provides training after implementation to ensure successful change in management.
• Maintains CER business policies, processes, procedures, and knowledge documents.
• Performs process and data audits to ensure tariff rule compliance using various databases.
• Supports development, testing, and implementation of new CER programs, services, and tools.
• Coordinates scheduled data reports including ad-hoc requests.
• Participates in Company emergency response activities as assigned.
