Job summary

Fractal in New York City is seeking a Business Analyst – Predictive Analytics to bridge utility stakeholders, engineering teams, and the delivery organization, translating business needs into actionable requirements that drive the Open Mains solution.

You will understand current processes, identify decision points, and document functional and nonfunctional requirements for alignment with business objectives and field operations.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Business Analysis experience on technology, analytics, or operational transformation initiatives.
• Demonstrated experience gathering and documenting complex business requirements.
• Strong process mapping, workflow analysis, and facilitation skills.
• Experience working within Agile or hybrid delivery environments.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Act as a liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams.
• Facilitate consensus across engineering, operations, data, and technology stakeholders.
• Prepare BRDs, FRDs, user stories, use cases, and acceptance criteria.
• Collaborate with Data Scientists and Data Engineers on data and analytics requirements.
• Help manage stakeholder expectations and changes in requirements.
• Support UAT, testing, and validation activities.
