TALENT Software Services is seeking a skilled post-execution trade processing professional in Charlotte, NC. The role focuses on managing institutional equity transactions through the lifecycle from trade execution to settlement, partnering with Trading, Sales, Operations, Technology, Risk and Compliance to ensure accurate settlement and client satisfaction.

You will resolve trade discrepancies, drive timely settlement, and provide reporting while maintaining compliance and process improvements

Responsibilities

  • Manage institutional equity transactions from post-execution through final settlement.
  • Serve as primary contact for client inquiries on trade status, settlement, and affirmations.
  • Monitor unmatched trades, settlement breaks, fails, and discrepancies.
  • Coordinate with custodians, prime brokers, counterparties, and clients for timely settlement.
  • Escalate operational, settlement, and market risk events as needed.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve processing issues.
  • Perform root cause analysis on recurring exceptions and propose improvements.
  • Support client onboarding, account maintenance and new product implementations.
  • Provide timely client reporting on settlement activity and risk exposure.
  • Contribute to industry initiatives and automation projects to drive efficiency.
  • Maintain controls and compliance with regulatory procedures.

Job Description

Serve as a primary point of contact for institutional clients and internal business partners for all post-execution equity trade processing activities. The role is responsible for managing the lifecycle of institutional equity transactions from trade execution through settlement, ensuring efficient trade matching, affirmation, exception resolution, and risk mitigation.

The successful candidate will act as a client advocate while partnering closely with Trading, Sales, Operations, Technology, Risk, Compliance, and external market participants to resolve trade discrepancies, drive timely settlement, and deliver a superior client experience. The role requires strong market knowledge, problem-solving skills, and the ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.

  • Deal breaker item – unable to work late. Possible to work until 8pm at times (typically 6/6:30 finish)
Responsibilities
  • Manage institutional equity transactions throughout the post-execution trade lifecycle, from execution through final settlement.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for client inquiries related to trade status, settlement, affirmations, and exception management.

  • Provide timely and accurate client reporting related to settlement activity, fail exposure, and operational risk.
  • Participate in industry initiatives, process improvement efforts, automation projects, and strategic change programs.
  • Maintain strong controls and ensure adherence to regulatory, risk, and operational procedures.
Requirements
  • Client-focused mindset with strong relationship management and communication skills.
  • Experience supporting institutional equities, trade support, middle office, client service, or settlement operations functions.
  • Strong understanding of the institutional equity trade lifecycle, including matching, affirmation, clearance, and settlement processes.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and perform effectively under strict deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on risk identification and resolution.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to engage senior stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently while collaborating across global teams.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage high transaction volumes accurately.
  • Proficiency using operational, reporting, and trade processing systems.
  • Understanding of operational risk, settlement risk, and trade exception management.
Other Qualifications
  • Knowledge of DTCC, NSCC, DTC, Omgeo CTM, ALERT, SWIFT, and institutional settlement workflows.
  • Familiarity with FIX messaging, electronic trading platforms, and post-trade processing concepts.
  • Experience supporting domestic and international equity markets.
  • Proven ability to identify opportunities for process optimization and operational efficiency.
