Overview
The Business Analyst Lead – Operations is responsible for end-to-end business analysis and requirements management across aviation operational modules such as Crew Scheduling, Flight Operations, and Safety. This role ensures functional clarity, process optimization, and acts as the primary liaison between business stakeholders and technology teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Requirements gathering & analysis – engage with stakeholders to elicit business needs, conduct workshops, interviews, and process mapping.
- Gap analysis and identification of optimization opportunities.
- Documentation & standards – prepare BRDs, FSDs, user stories, and acceptance criteria aligned with Agile practices. Maintain traceability matrices and ensure compliance with FAA/EASA standards.
- Stakeholder management – collaborate with product owners, architects, and delivery teams for scope clarity, manage change requests, and perform impact analysis.
- Quality assurance – support UAT planning and execution; validate deliverables against requirements.
- Leadership – mentor junior BAs and enforce documentation standards across Crew and Ops modules; ensure consistency in analysis practices.
Skills Required
- Core BA Skills – strong experience in requirements elicitation, gap analysis, process modeling, BRD/FSD creation, user stories, acceptance criteria.
- Proficiency in Jira, Confluence, MS Visio, Azure ADO.
- Domain Knowledge – deep understanding of aviation operations (Crew Scheduling, Flight Ops, Safety) and regulatory compliance (FAA/EASA).
- Technical Awareness – basic knowledge of cloud-native platforms, API integrations, microservices; understanding of REST APIs, Swagger/OpenAPI, and enterprise data models.
- Leadership & Behavioral – excellent communication and stakeholder engagement, ability to lead BA teams, strong analytical and problem-solving mindset.
Experience
5–8 years of experience in the aviation or related operations domain.
Compensation
$60,000 – $135,000, depending on location, minimum wage obligations, skills, and experience. Eligible for Wipro’s standard benefits including medical, dental, disability insurance, paid time off, and other leave options.
