Carlyle is seeking a Business Analyst to support technology initiatives within Client Solutions Group Technology for the Firm’s institutional fundraising, sales, and investor services teams. This role supports Salesforce, Carlyle’s institutional sales and client relationship management platform, and will contribute to the Firm’s implementation of Salesforce and the broader modernization of the fundraising and client service technology stack. Working closely with the product manager and business stakeholders, the Business Analyst will gather and document requirements, write user stories and acceptance criteria, support testing and release activities, build reports and dashboards, and help improve the quality of investor and prospect data. The ideal candidate is detail oriented, curious about how the business works, and eager to build hands-on CRM experience. Strong communication and relationship building skills matter, because this person will work directly with fundraising, sales, and investor services teams every day.

Requirements Gathering: Meet with fundraising, sales, and investor services users to understand their processes and document clear, detailed requirements for enhancements and new capabilities. User Stories and Acceptance Criteria: Write user stories and acceptance criteria, and maintain the backlog in Jira under the direction of the product manager. Testing and Release Support: Write and execute test scripts, coordinate user acceptance testing, log and track defects, and support release activities including post-release validation. Process Documentation: Document current and future state workflows, configuration decisions, and platform processes so knowledge is not dependent on any single individual. Platform and Data Support Support day to day operation of Salesforce for the fundraising, sales, and investor services user base, including intake and triage of user questions and requests. Help maintain the investor and prospect data model, and carry out data cleanup, validation, and hygiene work that improves the completeness and accuracy of investor, prospect, and pipeline records. Build and maintain reports and dashboards that give the business visibility into pipeline, activity, and data quality. Pull and analyze data in response to ad hoc requests from the business, and present findings clearly. Support integrations between Salesforce and adjacent platforms, including investor onboarding, fund accounting, marketing automation, document management, and downstream reporting systems. Adoption and Continuous Improvement Support user training, office hours, documentation, and release communications that help the business get value from the platform. Track platform usage and data quality measures, and flag patterns and issues to the product manager. Identify recurring manual work and friction in user workflows, and propose improvements. Contribute to efforts to incorporate AI and automation into fundraising, sales, and investor services workflows, including data capture, activity logging, pipeline hygiene, and reporting.
Build strong working relationships with fundraising, sales, investor services, and technology partners, and become a dependable point of contact for the user base. Communicate status, open questions, and blockers clearly and proactively to the product manager and project team. Escalate risks and issues early, with enough context for others to act on them.
