Job summary

The Carlyle Group is hiring within the Global Private Equity group to support US Buyout Product Specialists. The candidate will assist with fundraising, investor relations, and producing marketing and diligence materials for limited partners.

You will develop product knowledge, respond to RFPs and DDQs, coordinate events, and analyze industry research to inform fundraising strategy. The role demands attention to detail and strong Excel/PowerPoint skills.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Series 7 and 63 required, or to be obtained within 90 days of commencement.
  • Minimum of 2 years of analytical and presentation experience required.
  • Strong understanding of financial markets and/or experience with Private Equity required.
  • Experience at an alternative investment firm, an alternative investment placement firm, an investment bank or a consultant is required.

Responsibilities

  • Support the US Buyout fundraising and investor relations.
  • Develop deep product knowledge and create marketing materials.
  • Prepare and manage RFPs, DDQs and other due diligence requests.
  • Coordinate client meetings, roadshows, webinars and investor conferences.
  • Source and analyze industry research related to fundraising and the competitive landscape.
  • Prepare bespoke, data-driven fundraising and LP analyses.

  • Support Carlyle’s Compliance objectives with Legal and Compliance.
  • Complete special projects as needed.

Job description

Position Summary

Working within the Global Private Equity (GPE) group, the candidate will support the US Buyout Product Specialists. Periodic interaction with limited partners and potential investors will be required to complete various assignments. This candidate must be able to prioritize multiple tasks, demonstrate attention to detail, and work under pressure in a deadline-oriented environment.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Support entire fund lifecycle, including fundraising and ongoing investor relations
  • Develop deep product knowledge and expertise
  • Create and maintain marketing and diligence materials, including presentations, investor updates, data room contents, and thought-leadership content
  • Prepare and manage existing and prospective client requests, including RFPs, DDQs, and other due diligence requests
  • Support the strategy and coordination for client meetings and events, global roadshows, webinar events, and investor conferences
  • Source and analyze industry research related to fundraising, including preparing analysis of the competitive landscape
  • Utilize technical skills to prepare bespoke, data-driven fundraising and investor analyses
  • Partner with key stakeholders (such as professionals across Client Solutions, Investment Teams, Corporate Affairs, Fund Management, Legal, Compliance) to promote engagement and alignment across the business to execute on the fundraising strategy and achieve positive client experience
  • Support Carlyle’s Compliance objectives by liaising with the Legal and Compliance Department
  • Complete special projects as needed
Requirements
  • Education & Certificates: Bachelor’s degree required
  • Series 7 and 63 required, or to be obtained within 90 days of commencement
  • Professional Experience: Minimum of 2 years of analytical and presentation experience required
  • A strong understanding of financial markets and/or experience with Private Equity required
  • Experience at an alternative investment firm, an alternative investment placement firm, an investment bank or a consultant is required

Benefits/Compensation

The compensation range for this role is specific to the United States and takes into account a wide range of factors including but not limited to the skill sets required/preferred; prior experience and training; licenses and/or certifications.

The anticipated base salary range for this role is $125,000.

Additionally, the hired professional may also be eligible to participate in an annual discretionary incentive program, the award of which will be dependent on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
