Job Summary

This role serves as a key operational and financial partner within the marketing organization, ensuring seamless execution of budget planning and reporting, purchase order (PO) management, vendor onboarding, accrual processes, and fiscal year transition. In this role, you would ensure financial accuracy and compliance, and collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, procurement, finance, and vendor teams to enable strategic investment decisions.

This role serves as a key operational and financial partner within the marketing organization, ensuring seamless execution of budget planning and reporting, purchase order (PO) management, vendor onboarding, accrual processes, and fiscal year transition. In this role, you would ensure financial accuracy and compliance, and collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, procurement, finance, and vendor teams to enable strategic investment decisions.

Responsibilities

• Years of Experience Required: 5-7 overall years of experience in the field.
• Degrees or certifications required: focus was more on relevant experience,
• Disqualifiers:
• Lack of familiarity with Microsoft financial reporting tools, such as Mercury.
• Less than 18 months of tenure or access within Microsoft.
• Insufficient experience in managing high volumes of purchase orders and vendor onboarding.
• Inability to demonstrate strong proficiency in Excel.
• Lack of prior Microsoft history and experience with Microsoft-specific tools.
• Inadequate attention to detail and quality focus in previous roles.
• Inability to work independently in a remote setting.
• Insufficient experience in tracking budget changes and managing financial transactions accurately.
• Poor communication skills or inability to collaborate effectively with team members and vendors.
• Failure to comply with Microsoft policies and procedures.

→ Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and vendors.

→ Ability to manage and track changes accurately, ensuring all budget movements and nuances are accounted for.

→ Proactive in identifying and addressing budget issues, such as underspending or overspending.

→ Strong organizational skills to handle high volumes of financial transactions and maintain detailed records.

→ Familiarity with Microsoft financial reporting tools and the ability to learn and adapt to new systems quickly.

→ Ability to work independently in a remote setting, managing tasks and responsibilities effectively.
