Job Title: Business Analyst

Job Description

This role serves as a key operational and financial partner within the marketing organization, ensuring seamless execution of budget planning and reporting, purchase order management, vendor onboarding, accrual processes, and fiscal year transition. You will ensure financial accuracy and compliance and collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, procurement, finance, and vendor teams to enable strategic investment decisions.

Responsibilities
  • Own and update budget pacing reports for opex marketing, opex xr discretionary, and revadjust budgets to track spend against forecast.
  • Partner with marketing leads to align budget plans with targets.
  • Manage end-to-end purchase order lifecycle including creation, extension, and alignment with fiscal year boundaries.
  • Coordinate with procurement and finance to ensure timely approvals and compliance with internal deadlines.
  • Support onboarding of new vendors ensuring correct project alignment and PO routing.
  • Lead monthly and quarterly accrual processes including coordination with AP teams and resolving discrepancies.
  • Act as a liaison between marketing, finance, and external partners to ensure accurate financial tracking and reporting.
  • Set up new internal orders and cost centers as we transition into a new fiscal year.
  • Ensure financial structures are aligned with marketing strategy and operational needs enabling accurate tracking and reporting.
Essential Skills
  • Minimum 5 years experience with Mercury.
  • Minimum 5 years experience with budgeting and financial tracking using MSFT financial tools.
  • Minimum 5 years experience with Excel.
  • Minimum 5 years experience in opening and managing purchase orders.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Experience navigating procurement systems like GSR Tool, MyOrder/ProcureWeb, MSInvoice and resolving AP issues.
  • Strong understanding of marketing finance operations including budgeting, accruals, and vendor management.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and vendors.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote setting, managing tasks and responsibilities effectively.
  • Proactive in identifying and addressing budget issues such as underspending or overspending.
  • Commitment to compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
Work Environment

This is a remote role, working Monday to Friday for 40 hours a week with no overtime expected. Standard equipment such as a laptop, mouse, headset, and extra monitor will be provided.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $38.00 - $42.00/hr.
