A leading HR consultancy is seeking an experienced Business Analyst for a 10-month contract based in Phoenix, Arizona. This position involves analyzing business processes, participating in Agile product teams, and facilitating user acceptance testing. The ideal candidate will have over 5 years of experience in technical business analysis, strong skills in communication, Agile methodologies, and a relevant degree. The role may initially be remote with a few days in the office starting next year.

Qualifications

Overview

A- Business Analyst rec 90305-Phoenix, AZ. 100% remote until the end of this year. A couple of days in the office starting next year. This position is a 10-month contract to start in Phoenix, AZ. Submit your rate and resume. Rates are $45-53 W2 or $53-57 Corp to Corp, must be direct with us and no employers are allowed.

Responsibilities

Will play a key role in the internal Product team to review, analyze, and evaluate business processes, systems and user needs. Participate in product delivery teams leveraging an Agile framework. Facilitate user acceptance testing for new features and enhancements.

Skills

Experience in analysis of business processes and workflow and/or process improvement recommendations.
Some experience with project methodology.
Understand what business units (internal customers) do, how goals are accomplished and key process dependencies that may exist.
Identify, document, and communicate complex requirements across systems and business domains.
Understand the integration of processes across domains, scope, charter, plans. Collect business requirements and prepare written requirements.
Prepare business process maps, high-level workflows, use cases, functional specifications, wireframes, process flow diagrams, and report mockups.
Support development teams in obtaining clarification of requirements/features from business units in a timely manner to avoid delays in the development cycle.
Analyze business requirements to identify/suggest feature requirements, develop user stories, assist in identifying and documenting the scope of work procedures and decision flows.
Identify business processes for redesign; determine how to improve existing business processes and identify modifications to automated processes.
Ability to communicate technical information to a non-technical audience and to communicate business information to a technical audience.
Participate in the QA process by understanding the implementation and helping to define test cases based on user requirements.
Other duties as assigned.
Working knowledge of business processes and systems, programming and systems analysis procedures.
Knowledge of project techniques and practices.
Knowledge of configuration management and change management.
Basic understanding of Agile principles.
5 plus years of business analyst experience in analysis, gathering and documenting business requirements.
Strong problem‑solving, analysis and clear communication skills, both verbal and written.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field preferred.
Minimum of 4 years’ practical experience in technical business analysis required.
Minimum of 3 years’ experience in scrum/agile environments; Scrum certification preferred.
Strong understanding of lean methodologies like Agile, Scrum as well as Waterfall.
Strong experience in developing and maintaining Agile Product Backlogs.
Strong experience in Eliciting, Detailing, Documenting and Validating requirements.
Adept at communicating the business directive, goals and needs to the technical team and serving as client interface for managing user expectations and achieving client satisfaction.
Strong experience in creating use cases, process flow, data flow diagrams, wireframes and User Stories.
Experience generating requirements from business units and using business requirement documents.
Experience with process improvement, workflow, benchmarking and / or evaluation of business processes required.
Working knowledge of relational databases and database structures is required.
Knowledge of current Microsoft .NET technologies including C#, ASP.Net, Cloud development and Google Workspace is highly preferred.
Business Analysis Body of Knowledge (BABOK) certification preferred.
Conduct and/or Lead Technical Meetings.
Support Agile methodologies and attend daily scrum meetings.
Support team in planning and reporting of projects and project options. Champion the right technical solutions based on documentable facts.
