Job summary

Talent Portus is seeking an experienced Business Analyst to support operations at a state psychiatric health facility in Provo, Utah. The ideal candidate will gather and document requirements in a clinical setting and work in a SAFe/Agile delivery environment.

Responsibilities include workshops, traceability, UAT support, and collaboration with clinical, IT, and operations teams. A strong background in healthcare, BRDs, and process improvement is required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of business requirements gathering in a psychiatric health facility or related setting.
• Experience with SAFe / Scaled Agile Framework.
• Experience eliciting, documenting, and validating requirements.
• Experience creating BRDs.
• Knowledge of user stories and acceptance criteria.
• Process mapping and workflow documentation.
• Stakeholder interviews and workshops.
• Gap analysis and process improvement.
• Requirements traceability.
• Experience with Jira, Confluence, Visio or equivalents.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management.

• Gather and document requirements from clinical, operational, and IT stakeholders.
• Translate business needs into user stories, acceptance criteria, and process flows.
• Facilitate requirements workshops and stakeholder interviews.
• Analyze current-state processes and identify gaps and improvement opportunities.
• Participate in SAFe ceremonies including PI Planning, sprint reviews, and backlog refinement.
• Collaborate with Product Owners, Scrum Masters, developers, and technical teams.
• Maintain requirements traceability throughout the project lifecycle.
• Develop documentation including BRDs, process maps, and status reports.
• Support UAT and validate solutions against documented requirements.

Preferred Qualifications

• CBAP or PMI-PBA certification

Important: Candidates must have relevant psychiatric, behavioral-health, or comparable clinical healthcare requirements-gathering experience. Generic Business Analyst experience without this background may not meet the mandatory requirement.
