Position Description:

As a Federal Government Business Systems Analyst, you will join an innovative team responsible for refreshing and improving business processes, the corresponding configuration of all related systems, and supporting the aspects of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) such as, requirements, design, development support, testing, implementation, and sustainment. You will assist with a variety of system related initiatives and tasks. In this role, you’ll work within an agile team to enhance and maintain business applications and systems from CGI’s Fairfax, VA offices or remotely. You’ll have the opportunity to work with the project team to review system requirements, design software solutions and enhancements, author supporting documentation and test developed solutions to enable the client to accomplish its business objectives.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

• Gather and document business processes, discern requirements, and analyze information for areas of improvements
• Perform functionality gap analysis and supports solution design
• Develop functional specifications for extensions, integrations, and data migrations
• Translate business requirements into technical specifications to ensure that business objectives are achieved
• Determine client requirements and transform them into system specifications, translating requirements into technical language for developers, and identifying opportunities for improving business processes
• Contribute to the development of system documentation
• Author test plans/scripts and conduct system testing
• Troubleshoot and conduct sustainment activities for business applications

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

• Please note that US Citizenship is NOT required, but candidates MUST have lived and worked in the US for the last 24 consecutive months in order to pass the US Government customer's background investigation.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or related degree.
• Six (6)+ years of Information Technology and Systems experience
• Experience working with clients and business partners, excellent communication skills in a client-facing role
• Strong facilitation and communication skills to gather requirements and collaborate with stakeholders
• Working knowledge of agile methodologies.

The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and licensure and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit-based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $61,900.00 - $137,100.00.
