Job summary

Information Gateways Inc is seeking a seasoned Business Analyst to ensure quality software products and translate client needs into actionable requirements. You will work with customers and cross-functional teams in an Agile environment, focusing on clarity and traceability throughout the development lifecycle.

You will conduct gap analyses, write user stories, maintain the backlog in Jira, and support testing, training, and documentation to enable successful project delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, mathematics, or related technical field.
• 5+ years of experience with software development.
• Ability to write SQL queries and create user stories.
• Experience with change management and managing system upgrades or releases.
• Expertise in Agile methodologies; SAFE-Agile/Scrum certification is a plus.
• Experience with Jira, Confluence, or other project management and documentation tools.
• Ability to communicate clearly, both verbal and written.

Responsibilities

• Perform gap analysis between application functionalities and client requirements.
• Facilitate meetings with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into user stories for developers.
• Act as a liaison between business stakeholders and development team.
• Lead sprint refinement sessions and maintain backlog of work items in Jira.

As a Business Analyst, you will play a key role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products and work directly with customers to identify functional and technical requirements. The candidate should have a background in software development, have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, and be able to communicate technical concepts to non-technical project team members. The candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, project managers, product managers, and customers, to use software development best practices, understand requirements, and develop and implement solutions in Agile environments.
