Job summary

Information Gateways Inc is seeking a seasoned Business Analyst to ensure quality and reliability of our software products. You will work directly with customers to identify functional and technical requirements, translate them into user stories, and collaborate with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment.

You should have a background in software development, strong analytical and communication skills, and experience with Jira/Confluence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, mathematics, or related technical field.
• 5+ years of experience with software development.
• Ability to write SQL queries and create user stories.
• Experience with change management and managing system upgrades or releases.
• Expertise in Agile methodologies for effective application development; SAFE-Agile/Scrum certification is a plus.
• Experience with Jira, Confluence, or other project management and documentation tools.
• Ability to communicate clearly, both verbal and written.

Responsibilities

• Perform gap analysis between application functionalities and client requirements
• Facilitate meetings with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into user stories for developers.
• Act as a liaison between business stakeholders and development team
• Lead sprint refinement sessions and maintain backlog of work items in Jira
• Assist in creating and maintaining requirements and business process documentations.
• Develop test plans, test cases, and testing procedures to conduct testing throughout the entire software development lifecycle.
• Develop training materials and deliver training sessions to end users
• Participate in the Agile/Scrum development process.

Position Overview:

As a Business Analyst, you will play a key role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products and work directly with customers to identify functional and technical requirements. The candidate should have a background in software development, have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, and be able to communicate technical concepts to non-technical project team members. The candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, project managers, product managers, and customers, to use software development best practices, understand requirements, and develop and implement solutions in Agile environments.
