Job summary

Added Innovation is seeking a Business Analyst to bridge client needs with engineering teams. You will understand business processes, gather and document requirements, and translate those into actionable technical directions across multiple projects.

You will partner with clients to clarify goals, produce robust documentation, and support testing to ensure delivered solutions meet expectations. Remote-friendly roles with Springfield, MO or Tulsa, OK focus are available in the USA.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience as Business Analyst, Systems Analyst, or similar role.
• Experience gathering and documenting business and functional requirements.
• Ability to translate business concepts into technical documentation.
• Experience working directly with clients or stakeholders.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to ask the right questions and challenge assumptions constructively.
• Comfort working across multiple clients and projects.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to adapt in evolving or incomplete requirements environments.

Responsibilities

What You’ll Do

• Partner directly with clients to understand business processes, goals, and challenges
• Gather, analyze, and document business and functional requirements
• Translate business needs into clear, actionable requirements for engineering teams
• Create and maintain documentation such as:
  • Business requirements
  • Functional specifications
  • Process flows and diagrams
• Collaborate closely with Senior Software Engineers and Architects to clarify requirements and answer questions
• Help manage scope by identifying gaps, assumptions, and dependencies early
• Participate in client meetings, discovery sessions, and solution discussions
• Support testing and validation by ensuring delivered solutions meet business expectations
• Act as an advocate for both the client and the delivery team

What You’ll Need

• 3+ years of experience in a Business Analyst, Systems Analyst, or similar role

What Would Be Nice

• Experience working in a consulting environment
• Exposure to software development lifecycles
• Familiarity with .NET, web applications, or SQL-based systems
• Association or nonprofit industry experience
• Experience with Agile or hybrid delivery models
• Experience creating process diagrams or workflow documentation
• Relevant certifications (CBAP, PMI-PBA, or similar)
