Job summary

SGS Consulting in Sacramento seeks a results-driven Sales Analysis / Merchandise Planning specialist to optimize in-store metrics and orders. You will influence order creation, review daily orders, and work with cross-functional teams to improve fill rates and forecast accuracy.

The role requires 2+ years in sales analysis or merchandise planning, a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, and strong Excel/Power BI skills with forecasting methods.

Responsibilities

• Deliver store in-stock metrics by influencing the order process, including order creation, reviewing daily orders, maintaining perfect POs, and optimizing fill rates.
• Drive execution of Direct Import business out of Asia in partnership with the Customer Service team in Hong Kong.
• Participate in sales trend analysis to improve weekly item-level POS projections, aligning these plans with internal stakeholders and retail partners.
• Drive weekly shipping plans by item and channel to support POS plans and future order needs.
• Attend internal consensus meetings to present POS demand forecasts and share data findings with cross-functional S&OP teams to finalize monthly consensus forecasts.
• Collaborate with sales team in key forecasting meetings with Buyers and Replenishment Managers, providing business insights and recommending seasonal action plans.

• Drive execution of Direct Import business out of Asia in partnership with the Customer Service team in Hong Kong.

• Familiarity with statistical forecasting techniques, systems applications, and model building.
