The Business Analyst will be responsible for leading analysis, documentation, and validation of business processes and data requirements in support of Data Warehouse modernization projects.

This role involves close collaboration with business and technical teams to design functional specifications, prepare source-to-target mappings, and ensure accurate data profiling and integration.

The candidate will play a key role in enabling efficient data solutions within the healthcare domain.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with business and technical teams to define requirements and prepare detailed Functional Specifications.
• Perform Data Profiling to identify and resolve data issues prior to Data Warehouse ingestion.
• Develop comprehensive Source-to-Target Mapping documents for development and QA teams, including joins, filters, and ranking logic.
• Prepare draft versions of Data Models and validate them with relevant stakeholders.
• Conduct User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and business checkouts using SQL scripts.
• Utilize strong SQL skills to support analysis, data validation, and solution design.
• Perform Gap Analysis and Data Profiling activities to identify discrepancies and data improvement opportunities.
• Develop and maintain detailed documentation for business processes, mappings, and requirements.
• Engage with stakeholders to ensure clear communication and alignment on business goals and technical solutions.
• Support the delivery of high‑quality data warehouse projects, focusing on sourcing and outbound extracts.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 8 years of experience in a Business Systems Analyst or Technical Analyst role.
• At least 3 years of experience with Data Warehouse environments and 5 years of experience working with SQL.
• Strong SQL query writing and analytical skills.
• Proven experience in Data Mapping, Source-to-Target Mapping, Data Profiling, and Gap Analysis.
• Solid understanding of RDBMS concepts.
• Hands‑on experience in preparing Functional Specifications, Source-to-Target Mapping, and performing UAT.
• Strong communication and analytical skills.
• Solid Healthcare domain knowledge.
• Experience working in Data Warehouse projects, preferably in Sourcing or Outbound Extracts.
• Strong understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience developing process flow diagrams, use cases, and current/future state models.
• Familiarity with Data Lake and modern data architecture concepts.
• Exposure to business analysis tools for requirements elicitation and management.
• Experience conducting root cause analysis, risk assessment, and solution evaluation.
• Strong documentation skills, including preparation of training materials and best practice guides.
• Prior experience leading or mentoring junior Business Analysts.
• Experience working across distributed teams and time zones.
