Job summary

BuzzClan is seeking an experienced Business Analyst to document clear, testable requirements and collaborate with UI/UX, developers, QA, and stakeholders. You will drive Agile backlog and ensure alignment with business objectives and governance standards.

You will facilitate requirement gathering, translate as-is processes into to-be state, and maintain traceability throughout the project lifecycle. Strong communication and stakeholder engagement are essential for success at BuzzClan.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as a business analyst.
• 5+ years of experience with agile tools (epics/features/user stories).
• 5+ years understanding BA, QA, and DEV roles/responsibilities.
• 5+ years with as-is/to-be processes and content creation.

Responsibilities

• Document business requirements that are clear, testable, and align with policies and guidelines.
• Create test plans with the business and ensure repeatable processes beyond the project lifecycle.
• Document repeatable steps for maintenance planning.
• Lead requirement gathering meetings with stakeholders and project team.
• Maintain and prioritize project backlog with the product owner in Agile projects.
• Manage understanding of project scope and oversee the requirements process.
• Ensure governance objectives and data requirements awareness among stakeholders.
• Resolve critical IT issues related to the BA role.
• Align deliverables with SEM and project processes.
• Collaborate with UI/UX, solution architects, DBAs, developers, QA testers, and others to validate requirements and scalability.

Job description

• Responsible for documenting business requirements that are clear, unambiguous, testable, and satisfy the business need in accordance with standard templates and adherence to DTMB and MDOS policies, standards, and guidelines.
• Creating Test plans with the business, ensuring repeatable processes are in place beyond the lifecycle of the current project.
• Documenting repeatable steps/processes (technical documentation) for the business area to refer to as part of maintenance planning.
• Responsible for facilitating requirement gathering meetings to identify impacted business processes and document the project business requirements. Attendees include relevant project team members and stakeholders as identified in the Communication Plan.
• Responsible for adhering to the project schedule by developing and maintaining the project backlog during Agile projects and working with the product owner to set priority throughout the duration of project.
• Responsible for understanding project scope and actively monitoring requirements process to maintain adherence to the objectives set for the project.
• Responsible for understanding high-level information governance objectives and ensuring appropriate Stakeholder inclusion and/or awareness regarding data requirements.
• Responsible for appropriate resolution of critical IT issues as it pertains to the BA role.
• Responsible for understanding project specific benefits and related impact of changes to project scope or business requirements.
• Ensures SEM (system engineering methodology) deliverables for the project that are a responsibility of the BA are completed, reviewed, and approved in alignment with area processes.
• Works directly with project team including vendor partners for roles such as: user interface/user experience (UI/UX), solution architects, database administrators, developers, QA testers, and others to ensure understanding of the requirements, functionality, size, and scalability of the IT solution.
