Job summary

HonorVet Technologies is seeking a seasoned Business Analyst to join our Des Moines, IA team onsite. The role requires extensive experience gathering and documenting requirements, creating user stories, and guiding Agile project teams through SDLC activities.

You will collaborate with stakeholders and technical staff to map processes, analyze data, and drive improvements across enterprise IT systems, ensuring traceability and governance throughout delivery.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience as a Business Analyst supporting large, complex IT systems.
• 8+ years of experience with requirements gathering, user stories, acceptance criteria, and design documentation.
• 8+ years of experience with SDLC methodologies and system development practices.
• 8+ years of experience managing stakeholder expectations and priorities.
• 8+ years of experience working within project governance structures.
• 8+ years of experience using Microsoft development platforms and related technologies.
• 6+ years of experience working in Agile environments.
• 5+ years of experience with data mapping and data modeling.
• 5+ years of experience using ALM tools such as Azure DevOps, TFS, VSTS, Jira, or RTC.
• 5+ years of experience working with SQL Server Management Studio or other relational databases.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio).
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).communication, facilitation, and documentation skills

Responsibilities

• Support project governance, reporting, and compliance with established methodologies.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives for business processes and supporting technologies.
