Job summary

Biogensys is seeking an experienced Business Analysis and Planning professional in Tallahassee, FL for an 8-month contract. The role requires extensive IT business analysis, agile practices, and automation testing expertise to design, validate, and implement robust solutions.

The ideal candidate will translate complex business requirements into technical specifications, drive UAT with QA, and collaborate with stakeholders across teams to ensure smooth delivery of features and APIs.

Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years of IT business/industry work experience.
• Minimum 7 years of experience in IT project business analysis.
• Minimum 7 years of experience with Agile software development.
• Minimum 7 years of experience with requirements gathering.
• Minimum 7 years of experience with Azure DevOps and/or TFS.
• Minimum 7 years of experience conducting JAD sessions with stakeholders.
• Minimum 7 years of experience in designing and scaling automated testing frameworks.
• Minimum 7 years of experience in automation testing with Selenium or similar.
• Minimum 7 years of experience in API testing (REST/Microservices).
• Minimum 7 years translating business requirements into use cases and acceptance criteria.
• Minimum 7 years creating technical documentation and SOPs.
• Minimum 7 years coordinating UAT with QA.
• Minimum 5 years in manual testing and 5 years in automation testing.
• Strong verbal and written communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Translate functional specs into technical specs for developers.
• Translate business requirements into use cases/user stories and acceptance criteria.
• Develop and maintain automated testing frameworks and scripts.
• Collaborate with QA to coordinate UAT schedules and guide business testers.
• Validate REST APIs and microservices using tools like Postman or Insomnia.

Job Description

• Minimum 7 years of experience of IT business/industry work experience.
• Minimum 7 years of experience in performing business analysis on IT projects.
• Minimum 7 years of experience with Agile Software Development methodologies.
• Minimum 7 years of experience with Requirements Gathering.
• Minimum 7 years of experience with Microsoft Azure DevOps and/or Team Foundation Server (TFS).
• Minimum 7 years of experience conducting Joint Application Development (JAD) sessions with client stakeholders and subject matter experts.
• Minimum 7 years of experience in designing, maintaining, and scaling custom automated testing frameworks from scratch (e.g., using Page Object Model).
• Minimum 7 years of experience in automation testing; designing, writing, and executing automation test scripts using a variety of tools (Selenium or similar) to verify system functionality and find software bugs.
• Minimum 7 years of experience in generating automation scripts and updating existing to align with ongoing UI shifts and new feature deployments.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in REST API and Microservices testing; executing endpoint validation, contract checks, and payload verification using Insomnia or similar API tools.
• Proficiency in testing and validating REST APIs using tools like Postman, Insomnia, or other API testing tools.
• Minimum 7 years of experience in translating functional specification into technical specification from which programmers can construct the solution.
• Minimum 7 years of experience translating business requirements into use cases/user stories and acceptance criteria.
• Minimum 7 years of experience in translating the information from meetings and written materials into mock-ups, process models
• Minimum 7 years of experience in creating technical documentation and standard operating procedures.
• Minimum 7 years of experience in collaborating with QA teams, coordinating UAT schedules, conducting UAT sessions, and guiding business testers through the workflows.
• Minimum 7 years of experience with process model diagram tools, such as but not limited to Microsoft Visio.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in manual testing; validate system functionality by authoring test scenarios and executing manual checks against business requirements.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in automation testing; designing, writing, and executing automation test scripts to verify system functionality and finding software bugs.
